Claude passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on December 28, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family.
He was predeceased by his wife Michelle and leaves behind his children Marie-Pierre “Mapy” Villaudy (Dennis) and Pierre L’Ecuyer (Laura); his grandchildren Zoe (Ben), Matthew (Julia), Manuel and Siena; and his much-loved family and friends in Canada, France, and abroad.
Our ‘Papi’ taught us how to love deeply, demonstrated by his pride and affection of his grandchildren. Lover of nature and any occasion to celebrate life with wine, Champagne and good food, he was always sharing stories and laughs with family and close friends. Throughout the years dogs played a big part of his life, including decades of volunteering to foster and care for Mira dogs – preparing them to help those in need.
We are all comforted by Papi’s last few words to us – eyes closed and smiling – he was driving his Bugatti. No doubt the top was down, the sun shining and the wind blowing in his hair, headed to meet up with his Michelle.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at Voluntas Funeral Home, 4695 St-Jean, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc H9H 2A7, on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4-7 p.m., with eulogies at 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Claude’s memory to MIRA Foundation or Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence would be greatly appreciated.
