The family is saddened to announce the passing of Victor Isadore Pottie, 83 of L’Ardoise NS. He was the son of the late George and Catherine Pottie of L’Ardoise.
He is survived by his brothers, Richard (Clarice) of Berwick; Francis of L’Ardoise,; Leroy of Dartmouth; Lauchie (Rose Marie) of Rockdale; Cyril of L’Ardoise; sisters, Cecilia of Sydney; Annie Jane (Walter Martell) of Rockdale; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Andrew, Joseph, Cassy and baby in infancy.
Victor worked in forestry for many years, as well as on pulp boats. He was also employed as a roofer in the Richmond County area.
He was well-liked by everyone who knew him and would always give a helping hand when needed. Victor was a humble man who was well respected. He will be sadly missed.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at a later date.
We would like to thank all who provided special care within this last year. Thanks to the doctors, nurses, and care workers at Saint Martha’s Hospital, Strait Richmond Hospital, St. Anne Community and Nursing Centre, Arichat.
May you rest in peace, Victor.
