Velma Anne Scott
July 15, 1949-April 14, 2023
Age 73 of Plymouth, passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Comeau’s Hill, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Rose (Jacquard) DeViller.
Velma and Gerald have been married for 51 years. She loved to quilt, crochet, knit and make dish cloths. She also loved to make Afghans and anything to do with crafts. Velma loved to cook and her specialty was Rappie Pies.
Velma is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Scott; children, Michael (Hollie) Scott, Wedgeport and Angela (Dwayne) Boudreau, Wedgeport; sister, Ida (Bill) DeViller, Yarmouth; grandson, Tristan. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lawrence DeViller and Georgette Saulnier.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Yarmouth. By request there will be no visitation. A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. from Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 21, 2023 in Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth. A burial will be held at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Comeau’s Hill. Donations in Velma’s memory can be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on 4 North, family and friends for the many visits (you know who you are).
