Obituary
Our dear son Trent Marcel Torkelson went to be with our Heavenly Father on December 26, 2022 after suffering an acute asthma attack in John Day, Oregon.
Trent was born on October 4, 2013 in Brooks, Alberta. He is survived by his loving parents Jeremy and Leanne, two brothers Caleb and Braden, and two sisters Natalie and Samantha, Grand Parents Dennis & Dorene Torkelson of Duchess, Alberta, and Nelson & Kathleen Halteman of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
Trent had a sweet tender disposition as well as a lot of spunk. He loved to set up his imaginary future ranch and dream of when he would be a Rancher. Trent and his little brother Braden spent countless hours riding bikes, playing with kittens, and visiting grandpa and grandma next door. Trent was so happy when Caleb would invite him along the canal for a swim with the big boys.
His delight was to go with dad this past summer to help in any way he could. He had an extra special day if he could hang out with his cousins whether it involved swimming or cruising in the old farm truck.
Trent will be greatly missed by his family, grandparents, his many little friends, cousins, and church family at Duchess.
The family wants to thank everyone for their comforting words, prayers, or a simple phone call. We have felt held up by our loving God and the Community.
We express our gratitude to the Long Creek EMTs and the staff at John Day Hospital for their Heroic Efforts.
