Tim Wolting – July 9, 1960 – March 2, 2023
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Tim’s long journey with brain cancer came to an end on Thursday evening at home, as his beloved wife Cheryl and daughters Meredith and Alexandra held his hands and sang to him. Tim will be missed by his mother Willy and his siblings and their families: Ed Wolting, Rufus & Jen Wolting, and Christa & Randy Dykstra. He will be missed by his family in-law who considered him a son and a brother from day one: Bill and Millie Hoekstra, Andy & Tracy Sypkes, and Dave and Kelly Lightfoot. Uncle Tim will be missed by all of his nieces and nephews. Tim’s father, Ralph Wolting, is greeting him in Heaven.
Tim’s love of the outdoors and his respect for God’s creation led us all on many adventures. Inspiring others with his contentment and perseverance, Tim taught us how to camp, kayak, drive, bake muffins, identify birds, do laundry, and train a puppy. He taught us how to play, how to pray, how to listen, and as a Special Constable with Chatham-Kent Police Services, he taught us how to take care of ourselves and our community. In all that he did, Tim was an example of selfless love.
Tim’s legacy of serving others will remain with us, and he invites you to join us on Earth Day to plant a tree and spread mulch with your loved ones as a donation to your community. He always preferred the smell of pine needles to flowers.
