On Monday, May 22, 2023, Thomas ‘Tom’ Patrick Miller passed away at the age of 74 years. Tom is survived by his wife Karen, two sons; Steven and Paul, sister Janice and her husband Larry, three grandchildren; Zoey, Jaxon, and Hunter, and extended family.
Tom was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to parents Pat and Gladys Miller. When the family moved out west, they settled on Texada Island in the Strait of Georgia, B.C. He liked to brag that his graduating class was the last to graduate on Texada Island, and, that he was the only boy in his class of five.
Tom met Karen, the love of his life, early in life and they had many wonderful years together. He made his living as a general mine manager and was very passionate about his work. He loved working and providing for his family. Tom enjoyed camping and working on vehicles. He passed on his love for the outdoors to his son Paul and his passion for cars to his son Steven. He was a good husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you please consider making a donation to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation at www.heartandstroke.ca/how-you-can-help/ways-to-give
