Thomas Jacob Krapels, 57, of Ancaster, passed away suddenly on the afternoon of Sunday April 30, 2023. Tom was born in York Region on August 11, 1965 to Antonius and Wilhelmina Krapels. Tom is preceded in death by his father Tom Sr., and is survived by his mother Willy, his wife Caroline, and his daughters Paulina and Christina Krapels.
Tom was a dedicated employee of the City of Hamilton at Wentworth Lodge for 35 years. After a long career as a dependable and respected leader in his work, Tom enjoyed a year of retirement before his sudden passing.
A lover of all fast vehicles, Tom enjoyed spending his free time with his lifelong friends on road trips and spending summers jetting across the lake on a Sea-do. Tom took his high-fidelity sound as seriously as his vehicles; his favourite pastime was listening to tunes in the garage.
Tom was a loving and loved son, husband, father, and friend. He was a devoted family man, and took great pride in taking care of his loved ones. He loved profoundly and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will forever be loved, and greatly missed by so many.
A public visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave, Hamilton, on Thursday, May 4th from 6pm-9pm. Details about a private celebration of life for friends and family will follow at a later date.
We will hold him forever in our hearts.
