McNEVAN, Thelma Arleta (née Wood)
Peacefully entered Eternal Rest with her Lord on June 19, 2023 in her 89th year, surrounded by her loving family at Lakefield Extendicare, where she left graciously with a beautiful Code of Angels from the staff who cared for her deeply. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Doug McNevan and their eight children; David (Shelia), Darlene McGuinness (Bun), Billy (Sharon), Gordon (Linda), Patty (Dave), Dougie McNevan Jr., Margie Finn (Jed), and Donna Borland (David). Treasured Grandma of 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Also survived by, sisters-in-law, Betty Wood and Carolie Moore, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Stan and Doreen Wood; brothers, Clifford and Elburn Wood; sisters-in-law, Gloria Wood, Junie Godfrey, Marlene Thompson, and Leta Bannon; and brother-in-law, Glen McNevan. Guests will be received at Ashburnham Funeral Home – 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM with a celebration of life commencing at 11:00 AM. Interment at Upper Keene Cemetery with a reception to follow at Keene Lions Club. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
