We, the family, announce the passing of Sylvio Guignard, husband to the late Ella (Pitre) Guignard, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the age of 82.
Born in Allardville, he was the son to the late James and Catherine (Chiasson) Guignard.
He is survived by his children: Leandre “Leon” (late Yvonne) Guignard of Elliot Lake, Ont., Diane Roy (Michel) of Angus, Ont., Michel Guignard of Pickering, Ont., Marcel (Patricia) Guignard of Bathurst.
Ten grandchildren as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
His brother: Benny Guignard of Nigadoo and his sister: Albertine Duguay (Pierre) of Petit-Rocher.
He was predeceased by his siblings: Roger, Fred, Alphonse, Louis, Andy, Gus, Adrien and Jean.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 10 at 11a.m, from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel.
Donations in memory of Sylvio may be made to the Diabetes Association of Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice.
