It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Susan (Sue) Diane Maxwell after a lengthy illness on December 27, 2022, at the age of 75.
Remaining to cherish her memory is her brother Dennis Maxwell (Dawn) and sister Kimberly Rimmer (Allan). She is known as Auntie Sue to Karen Kemplay (Shawn), Samuel and Jakob; Kelly Anderson (Chris), Calem and Kieran; Megan Rimmer (Daniel); Lee Rimmer (Cari), Cameron, and Colton. Sue was predeceased by her parents Samuel Bruce and Marguerite Maxwell, and her cat Ranger.
Sue was born October 11, 1947 in Winnipeg and attended Nordale and Nelson MacIntyre Collegiate where she made many friends and excelled in volleyball and basketball. In September 1966, she entered the armed forces in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia embarking on a fulfilling and distinguished career in the Peri (Physical Education Recreation Instructor) trade and retired as a Warrant Officer after 27 years of service.

COMETS
Some people are like comets. They streak through our lives in a flash of excitement, love, and awe. Then they are gone, never to be seen again, although we think of them often. Cometlike people cannot be held onto or controlled. They need to keep moving, lighting up yet another sky. Sadly, some comet types die too young, and we miss them and grieve deeply in their absence. But the angels know that each comet person who has left the earth at a young age exits in a burst of light that remains for the good of those left behind. A comet would never want us to mourn its disappearance. So comet people want us to remember the joy they left behind and to allow the love we had for them to continue to grow, blessing others in its path. (author unknown)
