Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Marguerite Braydon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 26, 2023 at Kennebec Manor. Shirley was born on October 4, 1930 in Saint John, NB to the late Clarence and Hilda (Moore) Purdy.
Shirley was a devoted wife to her late husband Roy Braydon, who passed away in 2020. They enjoyed dancing and we hope they are dancing together now.
Shirley is survived by her three sons, Mark (Joanne) of Rothesay, Glenn (Dorothy) and Wayne (Mindy) both of Saint John; six grandchildren, Brett, Sean, Sarah, Chris, Micheala and Cassie; five great-grandchildren Danika, Austin, Lukas, Zayed and Sam. Along with her parents and her husband Roy, Shirley was predeceased by her daughter-in-law Susan.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, no visitation or funeral will take place.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd, Saint John (506-646-2424).
