MABEE, SHIRLEY JUNE – It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Shirley June Mabee, on June 4th, 2023 at her home in Oxford, North Carolina with her daughter BJ (Bonita) and daughter in law Charlene by her side.
Shirley was born in Cornhill, NB on June 14, 1941 and worked at the SJ General Hospital (Nursery) then onto the SJ Regional Hospital SPD & Dietary dept. until her retirement in 1999.
She is predeceased by her son Steven Frederick Whittaker, Sisters & brother- in laws: Alice (Ashford) Totten, Vivian (Alex) MacDonald, Florence (Len) Coleman, and June (Glen) Tabor.
Shirley leaves behind her daughter Bonita (BJ) June Whittaker & Charlene Vaughan Whittaker, brother Lloyd (Sandra) Mabee, Sister Alice Thorne, Grandchildren, Ryan Steven Hayward and Stephanie Frances Trowbridge, Great granddaughter Khaleesi Sky Trowbridge, Great grandsons Coty Nicholas Reid, Ryan’s two boys, many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held later this summer.
