The passing of Sheridan Spencer Evans of Fredericton , NB , occurred on Friday, June 16, 2023 at York Care Centre. Born on August 21, 1948 in Fredericton , NB , he was the son of the late John and Genevieve (Hinchey) Evans. He was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church. Sheridan was an expert on World Wars, especially World War II.
He is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Evans Born (Jeffery) of Fredericton, NB, Jackie Tait of Fredericton, NB and Valerie Helmer (Wayne) of Ottawa, ON; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Alda Stafford and brother, John Evans.
The Private Family Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery . In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA, the Alzheimer Society, York Care Centre Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
