June 21, 1947 – February 19, 2023
Charles Gordon was born to Lilly and Henry Sansford on June 21, 1947; a brother to June and Triffie. In 1967 he met the love of his life, Eileen, and one year later they were married. They were blessed with two children; Gordon Jr. and Angela. He worked hard to give them a good life.
Gordon was a very patient man and it showed, as there was always a skidoo or bike in his work shed being repaired for some teenager. He was a great friend, councellor, and served his Lord and Savior.
On Sunday, February 19, 2023 Gordon passed at his home in Brig Bay surrounded by his loving family at the age of 75 years.
He leaves to mourn with many found memories, his Wife, Eileen; Children: Gordon (Joanne), Angela (Ramsey); Grandchildren: Amanda (Travis), Reiley, Adam, Jessica, Shavonne, Chad; Great-grandson: Avery as well as many relatives, friends, and our special girl- a daughter by choice- Rhoda.
Gordon is predeceased by his Parents: Lilly and Henry Sansford; Sister: June (Michael) Ianuzzi; Nephew: Mark Stratton; In-laws: Martha and Simeon Ford.
Visitation to take place at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 and Wednesday, February 22, 2023. The funeral service will take place from the St. Anthony United Church with Rev. Terry Coates officiating, date and time to be announced. Interment to follow.
