Sally Theresa Stang was born to Barbara (nee Kloster) and Emanual Stang on March 22, 1938 and grew up on the family farm. She was the sixth born of 12 children.
For High School, she attended the Academy at Prelate, Saskatchewan then joined the teaching, Order of Ursuline Sister’s. She always wanted to be a nurse; she eventually left the Sister’s to pursue a diploma in Nursing. Due to the misfortune of injuring her back, and couldn’t do anymore patient lifting, she went back to school for classes towards a Theology degree, to work as a hospital Chaplain. This then took her to Regina General and Winnipeg Hospitals. She retired in the early 90’s to Edmonton to be closer to her Mom who was in a home there.
She died peacefully on June 13, 2023 at the University of Alberta Hospital at the age of 85 years.
Sally was a strong independent woman, who worked hard to achieve her goals.
