Rosaline’s Obituary
BOUDREAU, Rosaline Helen – Age 92 of Wedgeport, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Villa St. Joseph-Du-Lac on Friday, January 20th, 2023. Born in Wedgeport, she was a daughter of the late Maynard and Ella (Boudreau) Cottreau.
Rosaline was a devoted wife to her husband of 47 years, Valois. She was a loving mother to his three children who had lost their mom at a young age, and they would go on to add two more children of their own. She was busy at times, raising 5 children, but she loved her family and always put them first over her own needs. Rosaline loved the outdoors, and was an avid walker for 30 years. She enjoyed camping and at 90 years old, was outside at Castle Lake Campground, watching her grand daughter Daphne, perform with her band. She loved playing Bingo and was often accompanied by her grand daughter, Jolynn. She enjoyed watching her “shows”, especially All My Children with her son Tom. Rosaline was a Legionaire, and she was so proud of her involvement in the Cursillo Movement.
Rosaline is survived by her children, Patrick (Judy) Boudreau, Delbert (Sally) Boudreau, Kenny (Lynne) Boudreau, Cheryl (Roland) Boudreau, Thomas Boudreau; sister, Philoméne (Désire) Boudreau; grandchildren, Sheila, Michelle, Lana, Lori, Angela, Leona, Calvin, Scotty, Nichole, Kristopher, J.P, Daphne, Jolynn and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Valois; and siblings, Dorothy, Lorraine, Joseph, Vernon, Mariette, and Muriel.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26th, from 6:00 – 8:00pm with a Funeral Service on Friday, January 27th at 10:00am, in Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport. Interment to follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Donations in Rosaline’s name may be made to Villa St. Joseph-Du-Lac or The Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
