Obituary of Ron Boivin
A resident of Chatham, Ron Boivin passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
Born on August 19, 1947 to the late Vital & Mildred (nee Robinson) Boivin.
Remembered always by his wife of 55 years, Janet (nee Wilcox), daughter Jennifer Johnston (Marc) & son, Jeff Boivin.
Papa of Logan & Olivia Johnston.
Missed by his furry friends, Rascal, Shadow, Jetta and Sadie.
Brother of Marie Finn, Yvonne Moncar and brother-in-law of Shirley Fenton (Jack), Lois Moore (Bob), Jim Wilcox (Janet)
Predeceased by his brothers, Albert (2023) & Bill (2021) and brother-in-law, Larry Wilcox (the late Marg, 2022).
Survived by his sister-in-law, Betty Boivin & Marion Boivin.
Missed by many nieces and nephews.
Ron retired from Siemens after 10 years as a Supervisor. Prior to, working with Eaton Yale for 29 years. He was an avid golfer and a life-long Yankee Fan. Ron will be dearly missed by many.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their compassion and their hugs. Thank you to Miles from the VON for his nurturing care.
Family to receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 12:00 pm. Cremation will follow.
In memory of Ron, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
