It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Harrison Hawkins on July 14th at age 57.
Predeceased by his parents John and Betty and mother-in-law, Carol Tricco.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife/best friend of 22 years Pamela (Tricco), his precious children, Julianna and Keira and siblings Cathy (Sheridan) Newhook, Mike (Andrea), Rick (Sharon), Susan (Randy) Locke, father-in-law Bruce Tricco as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends.
Rob was born and raised in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, but called Spencerville, Ontario home for the last 21 years. Pam was his rock and the light of his life. Their love story was one of unwavering commitment, filled with laughter, tenderness and countless adventures. Pam and Rob were inseparable, their hearts beating as one.
As a father, Rob was a guiding light and an endless source of inspiration to his children. He nurtured their passions, encouraged their dreams, and celebrated their achievements. His love knew no bounds, and his dedication to their happiness was never-ending.
Those fortunate enough to have known Rob will fondly remember his infectious love for life. He never missed an opportunity to celebrate, and his laughter filled any room he entered. His warm smile and playful demeanor brought comfort and joy to all those around him. Rob had an uncanny ability to find the silver lining in every situation, reminding us all to cherish the simple pleasures and live life to the fullest.
Visitation will take place at Hulse, Playfair & McGarry – Kemptville Chapel, 805 Prescott St, Kemptville, on Thursday, July 20th from 3:00PM – 7:00PM. The funeral will be held on Friday July 21 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rob’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
