Robert (Bob) Duby
November 30, 1942 – April 5, 2023
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Bob Duby.
Bob was born in Guelph, Ontario in 1942. He married his high school sweetheart Mardelle, in 1963 and in the same year he obtained his Funeral Directors License and worked in Acton and Oakville, before changing careers to telecommunications with Bell Canada.
Bob retired from Bell in 2003 after an astounding 35 years, and found his way back into the funeral business part time.
Bob and Mardelle moved to Georgetown in 1969 where they raised their two children Brad and Alison. As a family they would spend summers around the pool, or at their family cottage in Bracebridge.
Bob will be missed greatly by his wife Mardelle and daughter Alison (Chris) Kraemer. He is predeceased by his son Brad. He will also be missed by his loving grandchildren Ethan and Tyler Kraemer, and Sofia Duby.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday April 30th from 2-4pm at Jones Funeral Home (11582 Trafalgar Rd. Georgetown) in the Trafalgar room.
In Lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society will be appreciated.
