Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert Allison “Bob” Estabrooks which occurred on Sunday, August 20th, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 22nd, 1954, in Saint John, he is the son of the late Stephen and Mona (Stevens) Estabrooks. Bob worked as a Truck Driver with Armour Transport for many years before retiring in 2019. He loved four wheeling, fishing, watching movies-especially sci-fi, as well as watching hockey and baseball. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife Nancy (McLean) Estabrooks of 39 years; sons Bradley Estabrooks (Kendra) of Quispamsis, David Estabrooks (Courtney) of Saint John; siblings Margie Quartermain (Robert) of Saint John, Peter Estabrooks of Saint John, Cindy O’Leary of Saint John, Karen McCullough of Petitcodiac, Sheldon Estabrooks (Tanya) of Rowley; mother-in-law Audrey McLean; grandchildren Paisley, Zachary, Pamela, Cloey, Caleb and Trinity; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother Stephen, sister Ann and sister-in-law Linda.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, August 24th from 2 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Friday, August 25th at 2 p.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
