It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Rita Anne Fetchock, on September 16th, 2023, at the age of 80.
She joins in peace her husband Réal Lapierre, as well as her parents Fredrick Fetchock and Mary Churn, her sisters Janet, Gail, Gloria, her brother Michael and her son-in-law James Meloche.
She leaves to mourn her daughters Kim and Darlene, her grandchildren Nina (Justin), Cody, Julie, Noelle (Cole), Zoey, Ashley, Hailey and Benji, her great-grandchildren Mason, Lexi, Kai, Aurelia, Jasper and Kove. She will be sadly missed by her brother Danny and his wife Diane, her cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, her great-grand-niece and so many lifelong friends.
Rita was born in England on July 4th, 1943. Her first few years of life were lived abroad, and then her parents immigrated to Canada. She met and married the love of her life, Réal, and they had an amazing life together. She was a loving, caring and a very special mum, not only to her own daughters, Kim and Darlene, but to many that were always welcomed into her home. She brought love and kindness to the many kids that she cared for in her career of childcare, as she loved them all as her own. When she became a grandmum, that ability to love so much multiplied. And even so much more when she became NANA, which was the title she held most to her heart with so much love and pride.
She will be remembered for her smile, her cooking, her humour and most of all, her laugh.
May we all enjoy life as she did, and celebrate her life as she lived it her way.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Thursday, September 28th, 2023 from 12 pm to 3 pm and from 5 pm to 6 pm at :

A celebration of life will be held the same day at 6:00 pm in the parlor.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Centre d’hébergement Ormstown for their wonderful support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Centre d’hébergement Ormstown would be appreciated.
