Obituary of Rina Mazzuto
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Calogera (Rina) Mazzuto on Friday May 12, 2023 at the age of 84.
Cherished wife for over 63 years to her husband Fausto (predeceased). Loving mother to her five children, Anna(deceased), Michael (Beth), Luciano (Michelle), Loredana ( Eddie), and Fausto Jr. Lovingly remembered Nona to her grandchildren Michael Jr, Brittany, Jacob, Matthew, Alex, Brandon, Tyler, Sophia and great grandchildren, Abram, Elijah, Maximus, Alex, Arianna, Benjamin and Emilia. Rina will be sadly missed by her sister Pina (Domenico) Carlino and her brother Calogero (Maria) Ardizzone. She was dearly loved by all her nieces, nephews and extended family both in Canada and in Europe.
Rina was born and raised in Palermo, Sicily, Italy where she met and married the love of her life. Moving to Canada in 1961 to begin a new life together. Our mother was a strong and supportive wife and mother. Our father Fausto always thought of her as his strength and guiding force throughout their lives together. Our beloved mother would say often “Life is good, I love life”.
Although our mother was taken from us, we are comforted knowing our parents are once again together.
Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd N, Ridgeway. The family will receive friends on Friday May 19th 2023 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Rina’s life will follow in the chapel at 2:00 p.m.
