Peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2023, Reta Esther Carter (nee Coffin) passed away surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late Alva and Peppy on January 22, 1949, she was aged 73 years of Souris, PE.
She will be forever loved by her husband of 55 years Louis, daughter Shari and son Paul Carter. Reta will also be remembered as a caring Nanny to Jayde (Jagpreet) and great-nanny to Jackson. In addition, she is survived by her brother Ross Coffin, best friends Veronica MacPhee, Sylvia Burns and extended members of the Carter family. Predeceased by her sister Margie Mercier and sister-in-law Jane Coffin.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at the Souris West Union Cemetery at a later date. By personal request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. If so desired, donations in memory of Reta can be made to the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Souris Hospital) or the Souris West Union Cemetery Fund.
