Obituary
Reina passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2022, at Mt. Ida Mews in Salmon Arm. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Siegfried, her daughter Teresa, son Fred, 4 grandsons, 6 great-grandchildren, sister Helen, brother Gary and a myriad of relatives in Canada, Europe and Australia.
Reina was born in Holland but came to Canada with her parents in 1952. She met Siegfried in Golden, B.C. and they were married on December 23rd, 1961.
Reina was a proud Army Wife for the 29 years Siegfried would serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. She also served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves while they were stationed at CFB Moose Jaw and CFB Cold Lake.
Over the years there were many moves, both in Canada and Germany, as well as opportunities to travel throughout Europe and to visit family in Holland and Germany.
Reina loved nature and especially her Mountains. When it came time to retire Reina and Siegfried chose to live in Westbank and, later, in Salmon Arm where she could always see her beloved Mountains from her windows.
Reina’s family is planning to gather together next summer (2023) to celebrate her life.
