MERRITHEW, RANDOLPH JAMES
The passing of Randolph “Randy” James Merrithew of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 28, 1964 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Carol Myrtle (Jewett) Pond and the late Edward Randolph Merrithew. Randy lived in Alberta for several years, working in group homes and had a yard care business. He moved back home in 2011 and worked for several companies in Fredericton Area.
In addition to his mother, Randy is survived by his daughter, Danielle Rae Merrithew (Brendon Frendin); siblings, Ann Hildebrand (Robert), Dan Merrithew (Marlene), Mitch Merrithew (Sedalla) and Brenda Merrithew-Gorham (Jason); a special sister-in-law, Linda Merrithew; step-sisters, Lisa, Debbie, Heather and Barb; several nieces and nephews, special friend, Laura MacKinnon. Besides his father he was predeceased by his brother, Terry Merrithew (Linda) and his step fathers, Keith Whittie and Max Pond.
The family would like to say thank-you to all the people who were there for Randy over the years, especially 12 Neighbours Inc. and a special thanks to Pastor Steve Patterson.
There will be no visitation or service by Randy’s request at this time. A Celebration of his life will take place in the summer. For those who wish, remembrance may be made to 12 Neighbours Inc. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
