Obituary For Raime Jade Carriere
In Loving Memory of
Raime Jade Carriere
August 14, 1997 – March 20, 2023
It is with heavy and broken hearts, we announce, our beautiful baby girl Raime Jade Carriere gained her angel wings at 25 years young.
Raime was born in Hay River NT on August 14th, 1997. Moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta on May 1st, 1998 at the age of 8 months old. It is here that Raime’s parents, Stu and Niki would continue to raise their family.
Raime attended a variety of schools in Grande Prairie, starting with Harry Belfour, Avondale, Swanavon, Hillside. From there she went to Montrose and of course the Grande Prairie Composite High School.
Raime was a Team Leader at McDonalds. Where she was loved by each of her co-workers and won several recognition awards for her hard work and dedication.
Aside for recently going back to work full time from maternity leave, Raime was also working towards becoming a Social Worker or/and a counselor in the Mental Health and Addictions Services through online services.
Raime is described by nearly everyone that crossed paths with her as, thoughtful, kind, empathetic. Intelligent. Smart. And oh so witty. She was a quiet, humble leader to her friends. Always speaking words of encouragement and never afraid to tell you how beautiful and amazing you were. She always made time for the biggest and best hugs.
Raime loved her music. She had a range of favorites, from rap, classic rock, rock and grunge. Raime was also quite the little artist. She fell in love with drawing and painting flowers of all kinds.
Raime loved to read books. She had a collection of fantasy thrillers and had currently started reading Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin.
She gained a small obsession with Harry Potter. Her all time favorite books were the entire Harry Potter series. She would proudly say she read all 7 books several times throughout her life.
Raime’s biggest and most proudest accomplishment was the birth of her and James’s handsome son Jean Alexander. Raime was a doting, loving and affectionate mother. It was clear through her actions and words, how much she enjoyed every minute being a lil momma to her baby Jean, her best little friend.
Raime is survived by her dad, Stu Macleod. Her momma, Monique “Niki” Carriere. Baby bro, Dylan (Tori) Carriere and youngest sister, Gracie Macleod. Niece Braelyn May. Spouse James Matthew along with their precious son Jean Alexander.
We believe Raime was greeted and wrapped up into the loving arms of her Great Grandma Marieann Carriere and her Grandma Cheryl Carriere.
Raime’s passing will forever leave a huge void in our lives. She will never be forgotten.
She will be profoundly missed by her entire family and friends.
“Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect.”
~Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
