Philip James Payne, age 68, of Stratford, passed away after a brief illness at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, March 11, 2023. Born in Halesowen, England, son of the late Hewitt and Cissie (Pugh) Payne. Phil is survived by his loving spouse Victoria (Rose) Rathman. Proud father of Tonya Patey affectionately known as daughter-O. Phil retired from Cooper Standard after a 30-year career as a supervising engineer. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Phil’s life will take place on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Gilly’s Pub (Stratford) from 3-6 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Stratford General Hospital Foundation – Medicine Unit through the W.
