Peter Ewan Noseworthy of Chatham, ON passed away at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance on June 7th, 2023 with his close friend Carmen by his side. Born on Oct 11, 1962, in Scarborough, ON, he was 60 years old at the time of his death. Peter was predeceased by his parents Joan Elizabeth and Thomas Ewan Noseworthy, and his only sibling Kathleen Allen, all from Indiana.
Peter will be lovingly remembered by Carmen Cloutier, as well as several other friends from the Chatham-Kent area, especially his friends from Tilbury Gardens, and Francis Place in Thamesville, where he resided over the past few years.
Peter had fallen on hard times for several years and lived on the streets in Windsor. Being legally blind was a real hardship for Peter until he was rescued by social workers in Windsor who found him shelter in Tilbury. Peter then became an easy going, fun loving person who didn’t let his disability hamper his love for dogs, good company, Tim Horton’s coffee, movies, older music, a good home cooked meal, and ice cream. He spent his time walking several kilometres every day, and happily made new friends whenever he got lost. Peter always had a little chuckle in his voice, and a smile on his face. He was a happy go lucky person, always a gentleman, and treated people with kindness.
Cremation has taken place through Life Transitions. There will be a Celebration of Life in Chatham, ON at a later date, for his friends to fondly remember him and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers or donations, please be more tolerant and kind to people you meet on the street. A smile and maybe a coffee could make all the difference for the homeless.
