Perry James Samuel Boyd of Halifax passed away suddenly March 15, 2023 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Ballymena Northern Ireland he immigrated to Canada on November 7th, 1951 he was the only Son of the late James and Elizabeth (Perry) Boyd.
Perry worked for Reitmans Canada in Montreal and Canada Post in Ottawa and then Halifax where he met and married his wife Heather and became part of a large extended family.
Perry had many tittles in his life but the titles he cherished most were being a Step Father to his two Stepdaughters Sherry McKenzie, Barrie, Ont. and Brandy Picco, Lower Sackville, Papa to his four Grandchildren Steven (Megan), Marcie (Fred), Victoria (Justin), Christopher and Papa G to his great grandchildren Mikenna, Maverick, Madden and Dax.
He was an avid golfer and traveler and spent his retirement traveling with Heather and playing golf with his golf buddies out at Brunello. Were ever he went he always left with a new friend, he believed in kindness and always lending a helping hand to all that needed it.
A Celebration of life will be held Saturday April 22, 2023 at 2 PM at The links at Brunello (Event Pavilion) 120 Brunello Blvd. Timberlea.
