It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick (Paddy) Connolly, at the age of 78.
A dear husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.
Paddy is predeceased by his parents Gerald and Bridget Connolly, brothers David and Gary and his sisters Gertrude, Shirley and Marie and also one granddaughter Skyler.
Paddy leaves behind his devoted loving wife of 43 years Josephine (nee Gosse), his sons Patrick (Stephanie), Shawn, and Paul (Amanda) and their daughter Mya whom he treasured dearly.
His brother in law Frank Gosse (Alice), sister in law Joan Gosse (Jean) and Sharon Clancey.
A large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives, Paddy leaves behind one very special niece Margaret and her husband Craig White, who supported and cared for him over the past few years in a way that no one would expect , they went over and beyond what he expected. For that Paddy always said to his niece “I love you both too much”. He also leaves behind close friends Paddy and Noreen Wells, who made several visits either to his home or the hospital.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday , January 5th, 2023 from 12 noon to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist and the service will be live-streamed for those who wish to attend virtually can be viewed from wwwthebasilica.net
Flowers are greatly accepted or donations can be made to Triple A Services (The Triangle) Liverpool Avenue Branch.
