MCKEAGE, Patricia Elaine

Patricia Elaine McKeage of Condor, Alberta passed away at Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, December 26, 2022 at the age of 79 years. Patricia was born in Bingley, Alberta in the farmhouse on April 21, 1943, to her parents Barbara and Harry Wickens. She was delivered by Granny Wickens. As a baby, Patricia was very happy and rarely cried, however when she did cry, her brother Jack, whom she adored, would mistake the cries for a kitty. Patricia lived in Nordegg, Alberta as a child and attended the Nordegg School. In 1955, Patricia and her family moved to Rocky Mountain House where she graduated High School in 1962. Patricia was a hard worker and had begun working at the young age of twelve. She worked as a babysitter, in motels, and also at a convenience store where she continued to work through University. Patricia received her Bachelor of Education and graduated University in 1974. She then went on to teach Grade Three classes and eventually Special Education at Condor Elementary School for thirty-four years. In 1967, Patricia married the love of her life, Randy McKeage and the couple had two children, Randa and Trent. Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her son, Trent (Randi) McKeage, her daughter, Randa (Ron) Slauenwhite, her four grandchildren, and her brother, Jack (Dorothy) Wickens. Patricia was predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years, Randy McKeage and both of her parents. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Condor Community Centre, Condor, Alberta on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Patricia’s honor may be made directly to the Charlotte Small School at www.wrsd.ca/ in memory of Patricia McKeage.
