It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Olive Noreen Brown (nee Foster) at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on January 19th 2023.
Beloved wife of Charles Brown for 63 years. Dear mother of Patricia (Stuart) Burke (pre-deceased) and Robert (Belinda) Brown. Cherished grandmother of Jeremy (Krissy), Sarah (Aaron), Christopher (Sara), Jennifer (Dominik), and Jessica (Shane). Great grandmother of Ben, Emily, Madison, and Harper. Dear sister of Philip (Judy) Foster of Peterborough, Daniel (Marilyn) Foster of Norwood (pre-deceased), Laurie (Sharon) Foster of Peterborough and Janine (Michael) Lynch of Halifax. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Olive will be remembered as a kind and generous soul who had a positive influence on everyone she touched. As a family farmer, she had a deep love for all living things with a special affection for dogs. She carried this love of life into her second career as a Red Cross Homemaker. In retirement, one of her many passions was travelling with Charles, first in their airplane and later in their RV. Olive also took great pride in the accomplishments of her grand children and great grand children.
Visitation to be held on Saturday February 4th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and the Funeral Service will be held on Sunday February 5th at 11 AM at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough.
