KUDLOWSKY, Olga –
Olga Kudlowsky died peacefully in hospital on September 23 at age 83 years. Loving wife of John Kudlowsky (deceased 2018), cherished mother to Wally (Svitlana), Jossef (Myrna) Pikulak, John (Nancy), Peter (Lisa), Daniel Kudlowsky (deceased) and Irene Mulock. Sister to Christine Kitching. Proud grandmother to Joseph and Yana Pikulak, Sara, Laura and Jenna Kudlowsky, Courtney Lush, Kristen (Chris) Vermullen and great grandchildren Ben and Mirabel Vermullen.
Olga was born 1940 in Ukraine into a life of early challenge. Her parents were forcibly removed to Germany as labourers during the war leaving 3 year old Olga in the care of her grandmother. Ukraine was part of the USSR and she was not to be reunited with her parents or meet her sister for 30 years. During this time, Olga married Jaroslav Pikulak (deceased) and finally in 1972 sponsored by her parents, the family was permitted to immigrate to Canada.
Married to John in 1986, Olga enjoyed many happy years while in good health. She loved sunshine and vacations to the Caribbean and family gatherings with John. They shared a passion for gardening and their home was beautifully landscaped with over a dozen flourishing fruit trees. Olga’s annual production of dill pickles and hand picked wild mushroom gravy was greatly prized and generously shared. Throughout life she was a caring, helpful person toward others who will be profoundly missed and dearly remembered by family and friends.
Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Blvd), on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glenview Memorial Gardens.
