Norman Purkis passed away peacefully on Friday May 5, 2023 at Errinrung Retirement Residence in Thornbury in his 84th year. Norman, beloved husband of Pauline Purkis of Wasaga Beach. Dear father of Simon, Mark and Jennifer. Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Katrina, Emily, Austin, Trevor and great grandfather of Serina, Alex and Amelia. Survived also by his brother Joe and sister Jane. Predeceased by brothers Jim and Clive and parents Clive and Isabella Purkis. At Norman’s request, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations mat be made payable to the Alzheimer’s Society of Greater Simcoe County in Mr. Purkis’s memory.
