Sadly, Nicholas Edward Derkach passed away at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre on December 26, 2022.
Nick was born to Metro and Mary (Sydor) Derkach on December 19, 1947. He was raised in the Mink Creek area of the Rural Municipality of Ethelbert. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, William in infancy.
Nick is survived by his siblings; Dennis, Robert, Leonard and Valerie, their respective spouses and their families.
Thank you to Nick’s amazing homecare workers, you were more than just caregivers to him, he saw you as his friend as well. To Dr. Kish, Dr. Forsyth, Dr. Matheson and the wonderful nursing staff, thank you for your care in his final days.
With respect to Nick’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
