Muriel passed away in Renfrew hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at the age of 92.
Loving wife of the late Mackenzie Wales, she is deeply missed by her son Ed (Sandra), daughters Jennifer (Carl) and Ann (Doug) and grandchildren Doug, Michael (Emily), Erica, Cameron, Greta and Jack. She is predeceased by her brother William Greene (Margaret).
Born in London, Ontario, Muriel worked in Toronto as a teletype operator for CP before marrying and moving to a family farm in Flower Station. She will be remembered for her authentic kindness, warmth and grace, and a resilient ability to meet challenges head on with a determination to see the upside in every situation.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W., Perth on Friday January 6th, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday January 7th, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. followed by a reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre. Interment Hopetown Cemetery. Those wishing to honour Muriel’s life with a memorial donation are asked to consider the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital (Perth site), the Diabetic Society or the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation.
