Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Murial “Olive” McGinn (nee. House) announce her passing on Monday, September 4th, 2023 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care in her 97th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters: Sarah LeDrew, Jacquelin Copat (Salvatore), and Marilyn Dalley; grandchildren: Karen, Jacqueline, Paul, Richard, and Tina; great-grandchildren: Travis, Mitchell, Amber, Stephen, Philip, Katrina, and Emily; great-great-great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Jace, and Maci; sisters: Hepsay Patey (Alonzo), and Rona Katjivena; sister-in-law: Bessie House; special nephew: Doug House Jr.; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Olive was predeceased by her parents: Grant and Sarah House; husband: Harold McGinn; brothers: Douglas (Alice), Garland, Winston (Shelly, and first wife Loretta), Raymond, and Clayton; sisters: Ella (Moses), Connie (Douglas), and Phoebe (Clifford); sons-in-law: Carl LeDrew, and Junior Dalley.
Olive’s Family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Corner Brook Long Term Care for all of their care, kindness, and compassions shown to her during the last five years that Olive was there. We deeply appreciate it each and every one of you.
At Olive’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be a private graveside service in Bellburns held for family at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, a donation can be made in Olive’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
