It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lattanina Di Miele (nee Di Paola). She passed peacefully on December 29, 2022. Born on February 6, 1934 in Vezzara, Caserta. Italy, immigrated to Montreal to join her siblings in the hope of creating a better life. She married the love of her life, the late Carmine Di Miele, and together had 2 sons. Widowed at a young age, she never waivered from her commitment in keeping his memory alive. Her role as matriarch extended to her children and grandchildren.
Lattanina’s love for her roots prompted her to form the Association in honor of the town’s patrons, San Filippo and San Giacomo. She achieved to bridge the past and keep it alive for generations that followed. She will forever be remembered as a leader in her community, a vibrant woman full of love for life.
Lattanina leaves behind her sons, Gabriel (the late Pina), Tony (Marisa), her grandchildren, James (Caroline), David, Andrew and Michael and her great grandchildren Jack and Grace. She will be greatly missed by her surviving siblings, nephews, and nieces.

The service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at L’église Saint-Viateur, 1175 Av. Laurier O, Outremont, QC H2V 3R5. Family will receive condolences from 10 am to 12 pm followed by the funeral mass.
