It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Mildred Burton, age 66 on April 7, 2023 at Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo, NL. She leaves to mourn with many found and loving memories her loving husband Chesley, daughter Trudy, son in-law Collin, her pride and joy grandson Joshua. She also leaves to mourn her sister Dorothy, brothers Calvin (Jeanette) and Donald, brothers -in-law: Kevin (Ruth), Calvin (Glenda), Tom (Helen), sisters -in-law: Denise and Audrey and Mother in-law Elsie Burton. She also leaves behind a large circle of nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. She will be eternally reunited with her parents Simeon and Annie May Spencer, father- in-law Calvin Burton, siblings Bernard, Roy and Mary, sisters- in-law Sharon and Sadie, brother- in-law Jack and special friend Marilyn Lushman. Millie’s life was dedicated to her family first and foremost. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had so much love to give, a smile that could light up a room and anyone that met her was left with an everlasting effect on their heart. Visitation will be held Sunday April 9, 2023 from 3:00 to 5:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm at Faith United Church, Burgeo, NL followed by the funeral service Monday April 10, 2023 at 3:00pm with Rev Oake officiating. Interment to follow at Burgeo Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Millie’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
