La famille a le regret de vous annoncer son décès survenu à North Bay, le mercredi 4 janvier 2023 à l’âge de 83 ans. Fils de feu Teake et de feu Anna Miedema Van Lingen. Époux de Gisèle Plante (née Ducharme). Père de David Trevor, Gary, Deborah Van Lingen et belle fille Liz (Denis). Son souvenir restera gravé dans la mémoire des ses petits-enfants Derick, Magan, Kimberly McClean, Kaylie McClean, Johnathan, Joshua et son arrière-petit-enfant Zoey. Frère de Fred et Andy (Karen). Prédécédée par ses frères et sœurs John, Clarence, Hendricka Van Lingen et Edith Van Lingen De Sheffert. Une célébration de vie sera annoncée à une date ultérieure. Les arrangements funéraires sont confie au Salon Théorêt-Bourgeois, Sturgeon Falls.
The family announces with sorrow his sudden death in North Bay, Wednesday January 4, 2023 at the age or 83 years. Son of the late Teake Van Lingen and of the late Anna Miedema Van Lingen. Beloved Spouse of Gisèle Plante (née Ducharme). Loving father of David, Gary, Deborah and stepfather of Liz (Denis). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Derick, Magan, Kimberly, Kaylie, Johnathan and Joshua and by his great-granddaughter Zoey. Brother of Fred and Andy (Karen). Predeceased by his siblings John, Clarence, Hendricka and Edith. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements in care of the Theoret-Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
Melvin will be remembered for his passion for faming, family and community. He proudly served as a volunteer and chief firefighter with Malabride station#2 for Elgin-Middle-London.
