Booth, Maxine Yvonne
March 2, 1933 – May 13, 2023
Peacefully at VON Sakura House on May 13, 2023. Beloved wife of 69 years to Eric Booth. Loving and devoted mother of Richard Booth (Patty) and Janet Freeland (Christopher). Proud Grandmother of Evan (Meg), D’Arcy, Erica, Travis (Elisha), Spenser (Kiera) and Melissa (Zac). Joyful Great Gran to Sloane, Chelsea, Layton, Richard, Nina, Caie and Luka.
Maxine will be fondly remembered for her vivacious personality, positivity, kindness, and keen sense of humour. Her laughter brought joy to family gatherings, the friendly competition of bridge, and coffee time with dear friends. A life-long love of nature was fulfilled by birding, painting and countless hikes on Ontario trails. Golf, curling, and cross-country skiing showed her sporting side, while her love of music and theatre led her to performances in Stratford, London, and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Visits to Ontario’s wine country highlighted Maxine’s appreciation for good wine and food.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers at VON Sakura House for their care and kindness.
Maxine’s burial will be private. A celebration of life is planned, and the time and place will be announced. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to VON Sakura House in Woodstock, Ontario.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home 246 Thames Street South, Ingersoll 519-425-1600.
