COOK, Mary Thelma … passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023 at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late John William Cook who passed away in 1999. Thelma will be missed by her sons Bernard (Bernie) and John (spouse Regina). Cherished grandmother of Kristopher, Joshua, Jamie and Alyssa. Thelma is predeceased by parents Charles and Lilian, and her sister Carmel. Thelma dedicated her life to service in our community as a registered nurse at Campbellford Memorial Hospital, a palliative care volunteer with Community Care Northumberland, hospice caregiver, and through her church life at St. Mary’s Catholic Church as a faithful and dedicated servant, choir member and musician. She will be missed by so many!
Friends and family are invited to the visitation at Weaver Family Funeral Home, 77 Second St., Campbellford on Tuesday January 10th from 5-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Campbellford on Wednesday January 11th at 11am. A spring burial will take place at Old Sacred Heart Cemetery in Marmora. If desired, memorial contributions to the restoration fund at St.Mary’s Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
