In Celebration of
Mary Angeline Novak
January 9, 1928 –
January 15, 2023
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Beechwood Court Retirement Residence, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late John. Devoted mother to the late James (Brenda) and Christine. Cherished Grandmother of James (Catherine), Alison (Jeff), Laura (Joe), and Lindsay (Evan). Dear GG to Zoe, Joseph, Olivia, Johnny, Paige, Annie, and Leo. Mary’s family will always cherish their time at the Novak residence on Lake Simcoe, where many fish were caught and fond memories were made. Even into her nineties, Mary was very active outdoors. She enjoyed mushroom picking and taking leisurely walks to purchase scratch tickets for her loved ones. Indoors, she was a real card shark who never turned down a game of Euchre, Screwball or 27. Mary will be missed by her extended family and many friends. Special thanks to the staff at Beechwood Court for their care and compassion. While we will all miss her dearly, we take comfort knowing that Mary is now resting in heaven.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) on Friday from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Prayers 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement Roman Catholic Church, 409 Markland Dr., Etobicoke, on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Princess Margaret Hospital or the charity of your choice. In memory of Mary, please donate blood.
