Obituary of Marjorie Hammerli
Marjorie Edna Hammerli (nee Stoddart), passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the age of 86. Marjorie was born in Aultsville, Ontario, and after marrying Daniel Hammerli, raised their family in the house they built in Maynard over 60 years ago.
Beloved wife of the late Daniel Hammerli, precious mother to the late Deborah Hammerli, Tim (Mary Shay), Shelley (Daniel Oquendo), and Bonnie (Kevin Dillon). She was a treasured grandmother to Connar Tague (John), Cameron (Liv) and Julia (Austin) Dillon and Jolie Oquendo.
Marjorie is also survived by sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cathy and Allan Moss, sister-in-law Audrey Hammerli along with nieces and nephews; Michael, Karen, and Heidi Hammerli, Charlie Moss, Carolyn Brown and their respective families.
Marjorie is predeceased by her parents, Olive Casselman and Arnold Stoddart, husband Daniel, brother-in-law Martin Hammerli, sister-in-law Rosmarie Metzger, daughter Deborah, and son-in-law Mike Tague.
We are so grateful for all the caregivers who gave of their time to help look after Marjorie over the past few years allowing her to stay in her home which was important to her. Special thanks to Di, Debra, and Debbie. You’ve been such a tremendous help to our family over the years.
A celebration of life will be held on March 26th from 1-3 at the MERC Hall, 120 E McLean Blvd, Maitland, ON K0E 1P0. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St., E., Brockville.
