Obituary of Marion Elizabeth Reyno
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Marion Elizabeth Reyno (nee Norris). She passed away peacefully in her 81st year, on Sunday February 5, 2023 at Port Colbourne Hospital. She is now reunited with her loving husband, Ron (2017) as well as her mother Emily and father, Leslie. She will be deeply missed by her loving children David (Jennifer), Alan (Chantelle) and Karen(Francesco), her grandchildren, Madeleine, Olivia, Massimo, Simon, Emalina, Eddie and Clara, her brother Alan(Noreen) and very good friend Maureen, as well as countless loving nephews and nieces, brothers and sisters through marriage.
Marion emigrated from England to Canada at the young age of 21, and lived and worked in Toronto for a year. As she was about to return to the UK, her life was about to change in a significant way, as she met Ron and never looked back. Throughout the early years of her marriage, Marion and her young family lived in Europe and many parts of Canada, owing to Ron’s service in the military.
Marion led a varied life of working for General Electric, volunteering as a Head Girl Guide leader, hosting Euchre game evenings with her Newcomers Club, before retiring with Ron in St. Catharines, Ontario, 1998, where her Grandparenting life began.
Throughout most of her years, Marion enjoyed spending time knitting, reading, and sharing conversations over tea with those she loved and cherished. Marion will always be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, and her willingness to always accept others. Service to be held at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Saturday February 18th at 11:00 am. Donations in memory of Marion can be directed to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
