I left on my own terms on Friday June
16, 2023 in the presence of my loving husband Paul, who made good on
his wedding vows of 33 years ago to see me through thick and thin to
the end. With the assistance of MAID, the cancer that I
walked beside for 9 years did not get to choose in the
end.
I am going to join my parents, Louie
Campbell and Flora Jarvis, my in laws Lindsey and Josephine Glidden,
my brothers: Buddy and Richard, my brothers-in-law: Bob Dixon, Brian
Mossey, and Malcolm McCarthy, my nephew Christopher, niece Angela and
many other loved ones who have gone before me. I leave behind the love
of my life, my husband Paul and our fur family, Fergus and Dougal, my
siblings and their partners: Danny (Donna), Peter (Kathi), Marie
Mossey, Loretta (Steve), Ed (Juanita), Maureen (Alex) Hanley, Donna
Dixon, Donald (Sherri) John (Gail), Melvin (Judy),and Paul’s
family: Odette, Greg, Lilly (Stephen) Lack, Terry (Mike) Doiron, Timmy
(Laurie), Stephen (Athenia), Patty (Stephen), Joy, Mark (Shauna), my
Aunt Margaret Leonard and many precious nieces, nephews and
cousins.
To my family, friends and coworkers,
thank you for being part of the fabric of my life. I leave
with wonderful memories, having had a very rich life because of you
all. Please be happy!
I am eternally grateful to all those
who have done their very best to keep me healthy and alive for as long
as possible. And who have done so with so much loving care and
compassion for both Paul and I:
The nursing staff at The Moncton
Hospital, The Sheldon H Rubin Oncology Centre, The Katherine Wright
Breast Health Clinic and Albert House Hospice care, Dr. Paul Goobie,
Dr. Mohammed Harb, Dr. Tooraj Shakerinia, Dr. Balisi Bakanisi, Dr. Tom
McNally, and Dr. Clare Gillett.
Should you wish to make a donation in
my memory, please consider supporting The Friends of the Moncton
Hospital Foundation through the NB
Ride Against Cancer, a cause that was near and dear to our
hearts and for which Paul and I worked every
year.
A private service will be held at a future date. Funeral
arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, Moncton (506-858-1900).
This is only one small goodbye after
all the wonderful hellos we have had!
