Obituary for
Marion McCormack Sinclair
The family of Marion Sinclair is saddened to announce her passing on December 28, 2022.
Marion was born in the village of Crosley, Scotland. She made her way from Scotland to Canada by ship after the war in 1947, the first of three Atlantic crossings she would make. Eventually home became Edmonton, Alberta.
Marion was predeceased by her loving daughter, Linn Alison Theis, as well as her brother and two sisters.
She leaves behind her daughter Anne Louise and daughter Marion (Robert), along with grandchildren Robb and Kaitlan and great-grandchildren Isla and Finn. Robb and Kaitlan grew up hearing wonderful stories of Scotland from their ‘Gigi,’ and many tall tales of their grandmothers’ adventures.
Marion was an avid gardener, her front yard caused people to stop and admire the display of so many varieties of blooms. She loved the adventure of travel, places like Germany, Italy, Colorado, always making new friends.
Marion was filled with love for her family and friends and treasured everyone in her life. She lived a life of love. She loved to sing, and her Scottish lilt and smile will be missed by all who knew her.
Her family would like to thank the staff at both Shepherds Care, Greenfield and Millwoods for the exceptional care provided to Marion.
Rest in peace, Gigi. We will always carry you in our hearts.
