It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marie Sarah MacInnis at the age of 64 on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Born in Sydney Nova Scotia and from Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Chafe; her pride and joys, daughter, Lisa Chafe and grandsons Tyler and Riley Marchand. Her brothers, Edward MacDonald (Lorraine); Dennis MacInnis (Sandra); Steven Chafe (Heather) and Kevin Chafe; life long friend, Jean Pringle and close friends, Carmel Ryan and Anna MacInnis along with many extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Leo MacInnis and stepfather, Alphonse Chafe and brother, Kenneth Chafe at infancy.
Marie was an extremely hard worker and has been working from the age of 14. People enjoyed her service over the years and she loved to “chat” with you whether it be short or long. She is going to be greatly missed by many.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday January 4th in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
Memorial Service will take place Thursday January 5th at 10 a.m. from Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury with Deacon Berkley Guthro officiating. Burial will follow the service in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Family flowers only. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
