Marie Raithby (nee Campbell)
February 23, 1936 – December 30, 2022
Marie passed away peacefully at the Collingwood Nursing Home surrounded by love from near and far.
Predeceased by husband Grant, parents Elsie and Matthew Campbell as well as her brothers and sisters.
Marie will be missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Marie was very proud of her hometown of Collingwood. She received the Order of Collingwood January 2011 from Mayor Sandra Cooper.
Marie was an active member of Heritage Community Church and loved singing as part of the choir. She loved her church family and loved when members in her family could attend a service with her.
Marie joined the Collingwood Legion Ladies Auxiliary in 1954. She was also lifelong member of 68 years. Marie loved to help in the kitchen.
A special thank you to all staff of the Collingwood Nursing Home. Their time, attention and dedication did not go unnoticed and was of great comfort to family and friends of Marie.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Affordable Cremation Services, Collingwood.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Collingwood Legion, 490 Ontario Street, Collingwood. Details will be updated once confirmed. Interment Trinity United Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to Heritage Community Church, 310 Seventh Street, Collingwood or the Collingwood Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch 63, 490 Ontario Street, Collingwood.
As a special request Marie would love everyone to enjoy a “Rye and coke” in her memory.
