It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Marian on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Princess Margaret Hospital at the age of 87. Marian is now reunited with her loving husband Jim. Much loved mother of Janet (the late Mike), Diane (Gord), Gary (Marcia) and Michael (Sarah). Cherished Nana of Nicole, Daniel (Kelly), Rachael, James and Lauren. Proud Great Nana of Marcel and Parker. Marian will be held dear in the hearts of her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Marian was a strong, courageous, independent and adaptable woman who started a successful business with her husband. She always found ways to do the things that needed to be done. Marian lived a full and rewarding life made up of happy memories. She could often be found listening to music and wind chimes, reading, making beautiful scenic puzzles, doing crosswords with her multi-coloured pen, travelling with her sisters, enjoying conversations with loved ones and neighbours and enjoying a hot cup of coffee with a ‘S’ cookie. Marian was a friend to many. She was dependable and loyal, continually and selflessly putting herself before others while radiating generosity, love and humour. The family would like to thank Dr. Ashley, Dr. Husain, the nurses and doctors at Princess Margaret Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital for their care and compassion. Resting at NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue, Toronto (north of Rexdale Blvd) on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict Parish, 2194 Kipling Avenue,Toronto on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
